Welsh language project to boost economy
Four Cymru has started work on a new EU-funded pilot project with Mentrau Iaith Cymru, aimed at developing Welsh language services and products to boost economic regeneration.
The project is currently in its research phase with regional workshops, focus groups and events being planned for the coming months. Following this will be the development of pilot clusters, which will bring together specific sectors where the Welsh language can be advantageous in developing their services further.
It is hoped the work will help create new understanding of Welsh language skills as an economic catalyst and maximise on the business opportunities for communities across Wales.
Rhun Dafydd has recently been appointed as Marchnad Lafur Cymraeg project manager, “I believe this is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the Welsh economy in parallel with the Welsh language in order to create a vibrant and sustainable future.”
We’re very keen to work with as many interested as possible and if you would like to know more about the project please contact MarchnadLafurCymraeg@four.cymru
