Public Affairs

Four Cymru’s politically neutral public affairs team has an outstanding understanding of politics and decision making at all levels in Wales. Some say we even invented public affairs in Wales! That’s because for years (23 to be precise!) we pioneered and expanded the annual public affairs ‘bible’, the Wales Yearbook – evidence of our expert knowledge of ‘Who’s Who’ in politics as well as local communities, influential businesses and prominent individuals across Wales. See

We also conduct the Wales Yearbook ‘Wales Politician of the Year’ awards event which is broadcast annually with ITV.

Our public affairs services include stakeholder mapping and engagement, relationship building, reputation management, public consultations strategy and implementation.

We offer strong insight into government as well as the policies of opposition parties and interest groups and how best to communicate with key stakeholders and decision makers. Our political monitoring and research also ensure that you are bang up to date with developments that could affect your organisation.

An event should never be an end in itself – all too often, temptation to maximise the return of investment from an event means other great opportunities are overlooked. Our integrated service ensures that all events are professionally organised so that PR and stakeholder engagement opportunities are never lost, before or after the event.

As multiple CIPR award winners in event management our experienced team listens to the brief and delivers a tailored and creative solution, every time.

From conferences, Annual General Meetings and press briefings all the way through to project launches and awards dinners, we ensure that events are memorable, generate a positive impact and achieve the objectives that matter.

We work closely with our clients to develop and implement every stage of their marketing plans. From initial strategy, through branding and positioning, audience targeting, advertising campaign creation, execution and reprographic production, to the design and production of sales and marketing collateral.

For some clients we take campaigns from initial concept through to the appearance of print, TV or online advertising, while others buy specific elements of our marketing services. We are particularly strong in property and leisure markets.

Your audience will remember a message that is delivered consistently across a range of platforms. We work with you on your initial marketing strategy, through branding and positioning, identifying target audiences, devising and delivering ad campaigns plus design and production of sales and marketing collateral.

By bringing all our marketing and communications disciplines together, our integrated one-stop-shop can also ensure that marketing, advertising, PR, public affairs, design and events management all work in an integrated way to deliver real ROI.

For 25 years Four Cymru has been at the forefront of Welsh in marketing and communication and our commitment has been publicly recognised by the Welsh Language Board. In fact we created their ‘Guidelines for Bilingual Design’. We are also proud to have pioneered the commercial use of Welsh in branding to reflect provenance and a point of difference for marketing and sales in products such as Halen Môn sea salt.

For these reasons, we are trusted and work with key Welsh Language organizations in Wales such as Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol and the Welsh Language Commissioner and we provide integrated services for the Welsh medium marketing and PR society, Cyswllt.

Our aims are clear – to ensure that our insightful and committed use of Welsh communications targets in a cost effective, impactful way.

With Four Cymru’s fully bilingual team in all departments, initiating and running successful bilingual campaigns is second nature to us. We can also provide clients with targeted campaigns aimed at Welsh speakers with tailored messaging for different demographics (e.g. older people, rural etc) with a genuine, convincing and original campaign – not merely a slavish translation from the English.
